GENTLE, SUCCESSFUL, AFFORDABLE
Less drugs and injections, easier and safer IVF, with pregnancy results comparable to conventional IVF. That in a nutshell is what makes us different from many other IVF centers around the country.
A study of conventional IVF results has shown that the unphysiological ovarian hyperstimulation protocols practiced in conventional IVF techniques leads to the development of cohorts of too many oocytes that as a consequence of the hyperstimulation, are of relatively poor quality and eventually lead to the development of embryos of poor quality. In addition these protocols generate a relatively unreceptive endometrium and hence most procedures that retrieve eggs and transfer fertilized embryos in the same cycle are not very effective.
Our philosophy makes us different. We believe that it takes only one good quality egg to make one healthy baby. And in order to achieve this goal we have perfected a few techniques, the combination of which, make our protocols different from conventional IVF protocols both in the practice and in the results:
Our minimally invasive IVF treatment doesn't risk excessive daily IVF drug injections to reach high pregnancy success, because it can achieve similar success with fewer oral drugs.
Commonly used methods of freezing eggs and embryos use a slow freeze method with survival rates after thawing of about 55%.The newest flash freezing technique, vitrification, used for freezing egg and embryos, produces 98% survival rates. This is what we use at New Hope. Not only does it allow us to effectively decouple the process of egg retrieval from embryo transfer, it also affords us a high success rate for the overall process.
When it comes to eggs we emphasize quality rather than quantity, so we will not cancel an IVF cycle or deny you treatment because of your age or because your body may produce only one egg. It takes only one good egg for one live birth.
FSH is a hormone produced by the Pituitary gland in the brain that stimulates the Ovary to produce Oocytes ie “eggs”. When the Ovary has difficulty producing mature eggs, the Brain releases more FSH in order to further stimulate the Ovary.
