New Hope Fertility Center runs a world-class egg donor program with a large donor pool and personalized care for each recipient, making the process as easy and simple as we can for all parties involved.
We cycle women using both fresh and frozen cycles and utilize vitrification, the most technologically advanced technique for cryopreservation. If you are considering using an egg donor, New Hope may recommend you undergo donor egg IVF if you fall into either of the two groups described below:
Donor egg IVF cycles generally use conventional IVF treatment to maximize the number of eggs the donor can provide each cycle. Donor sperm is purchased from frozen sperm banks, thawed at New Hope Fertility and then utilized during the IVF cycle.
Fresh donor cycle - a donor's menstrual cycle is timed with that of the recipient. The donor undergoes hyperstimulation to produce multiple eggs that will be retrieved and then fertilized fresh with the sperm of the recipient's partner or donor. The resulting embryos are transferred on day 5 of fertilization.
Frozen donor egg cycle - is easier since they do not require menstrual cycles to be timed. We simply thaw and fertilize the donor eggs with the sperm of the donor's partner or donor. The resulting embryos will be frozen around day 5 (blastocyst stage). The recipient (or gestational carrier) will then be prepared for a natural frozen embryo transfer or using hormone replacement therapy.
